Aeronautical engineer's main job is to provide aircraft maintenance and technical support to the aerospace industry. Aeronautical engineers can be specialized in  structural design, navigational guidance and control systems, instrumentation and communication or production methods, and military aircraft, Passenger planes, helicopters, satellites, rockets, etc.


Qualifications and courses
To become an Aeronautical engineer you should be  BE / BTech (Aeronautical Engineering) or must be a Diploma in Aeronautics. Aeronotics is also available in various colleges  as well as through IIT you can take degree in Aeronautics and post-graduate course, the number of aviation-related diploma courses at polytechnics are also available. Physics, chemistry and mathematics in 12 th or equivalent examination with theses subjects a person can take the admission in BE/B.Tech. If you want to take admission in IIT, you have tp pass IIT - JEE exam. Some of the Aviation Institute provide Post Graduate (Tech) and Doctoral Program (PhD) in Aviation.

Duration of course
Aeronautical Engineering BE / B.Tech course is of
4 years, and the diploma courses can be a period of 2-3 years.

Personal qualifications
Aeronautical engineer should have the technical trends. You should have better  reasoning skills, communication ability and computer knowledge.You must be physically fit and eyes should be fine too.
