Career in Waste Management/Enviornment


The purpose of  waste management is to make environment free from pollution and to make waste worth by  re-use it. The current environment has increased the demand for professionals in this field.

Career
From  past few years public awareness towards environment is increased  in the country. Government and individuals are working in this direction..

 Recycle process is  adopted for prevention of environment pollution, so that materials can be used again in another form.  The whole process of making a new materials from waste material has been named waste management. Waste management is important for environmental management Now days, the e - waste management practice is at its peak. In this mostly wastage is of metal plastic and electronic. Moradabad, Delhi and Mumbai, Dharavi is its center. Waste treatment agencies in the country has rapidly opening the employment opportunities.

E - Waste Management
India being a developing country where e - wastage volume is growing even faster, this is why more practices are getting involved for waste management. In E -wastage mostly wastage is of electronic such as computers, televisions, display devices, cell phones, printers, fax machines, LCD, CD, electronic waste, automobile components, sensors, alarms, sirens, etc..

The full scope of work of waste management is revolve around environmental scientist. From the use of different principles.of Science and Engineering theEnvironment Protection work proceeds.To remove pollutants from the atmosphere scientists pursue prevailing theory and methods of research. 

Course Information
courses related to waste management are not in practice. Mostly In Enviornmental Science course there is one subject as waste management.On this basis we can say that the course is the Bachelor or Master level. The 3-year Bachelor courses BSc / BE Enviornmental Science and 2-year Master's course in MSc / MTech in Science Enviornmental are conducted.  after the 12th with Science subjects you can enter in BSc and BE after that, you can enter in the MSc ,BSc or BTech and MTech. Some institutes offer MPhil or PhD course.Now days, many institutes are offering one year PG diploma courses.

Employment Opportunities
Graduate professional have many job opportunities in front of them. You can find job in various government departments and agencies, such as forest and Environment Department, Pollution Control Board, Urban Planning, Industry, Water Resources, Agriculture and so on. The NGOs working for environment protection they also need professionals of this field. opportunities. Private companies are also emerged as a major employer. Waste treatment industry, refineries, distilleries, mines, fertilizer plants, food processing and textile mills industry professionals are getting  opportunity. Many public and private companies  are working in the field of research work. As Environmental scientist you can seek job in research as well. You can also become Environmental journalist and Teacher.
