The Donald A. Wehrung International Student Humanitarian Award (ISHA) recognizes outstanding international students from impoverished or war-torn areas, who have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances and who would be unable to pursue post-secondary education without financial assistance.The value of awards is commensurate with demonstrated financial need, and sufficient to cover tuition costs for the relevant program of study, and living expenses. An ISHA award can be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study, or to degree completion, whichever is less, provided the recipient achieves satisfactory academic standing in their faculty, continues to demonstrate financial need, and maintains their Canadian Study Permit (visa).

Eligibility
All candidates must be nominated for an ISHA award. To be eligible, nominees must be international students entering university directly from secondary school and eligible to study in Canada on a Canadian study permit. They must also demonstrate superior academic achievement ('A' average or equivalent standing) and meet UBC’s other competitive admission requirements

Last Date
The deadline for nomination packages to be received at UBC is January 31, 2013.

Note
Nominees must also complete the online application for academic admission to UBC, and meet the UBC English Language Admission Requirement by January 31, 2013. Although applicants to UBC can specify two program choices in their application for admission, an ISHA nomination will be considered only in relation to the nominee's first choice program.
Early application is encouraged to ensure that an application decision can be made in time for nomination consideration.

Quest University offers scholarships for Undergraduates. The scholarship programe is for Canadian and Non Canadian Students to study Arts and Science.

Eligibility and Renewability
Eligibility for the $10,000 Quest University Canada Scholarship is determined once the UWC student completes his or her Application for Admissions to Quest and is admitted to the University.
To remain eligible for the $10,000 Quest University Canada Scholarship and any other additional scholarships while at Quest, recipients must meet our general scholarship renewal requirements. Evaluations will take place at the end of the student's second term at Quest, and annually thereafter in the Spring Term.
Quest's academic calendar enables a student to enroll for up to three full terms per year: Fall, Spring and Summer. Students may retain their scholarships, awards, grants and bursaries for up to eight terms (sufficient time to complete a degree). They must maintain appropriate academic standing, and/or demonstrate continued financial need. Students seeking support beyond an eighth term will need to submit a written petition outlining any special circumstances that merit such consideration.

REGULATIONS 2013
University of Waikato International Doctoral Scholarships shall be offered by the Scholarships Committee on behalf of the Academic Board, normally twice a year, to full-time, international candidates for a doctoral degree of the University of Waikato. Full-time, international candidates for the following doctoral degrees may apply for  a  University of Waikato  International  Doctoral Scholarship:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD),
Doctor of Education (EdD) Part 2 only,
Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) Part 2 only,
Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) Part 2 only.

Scholarship Details:
For 2013, the total value of a Scholarship shall be a living allowance of $22,000.00 per annum, payable in monthly instalments of $1,833.33, and an amount equal to the annual domestic tuition fees payable during the term of the Scholarship. A thesis preparation allowance of up to $400 is also available, provided the thesis is submitted within four years of full-time doctoral enrolment.
